• Let Us Lead You

At Balance Point Fitness and Athletics, we teach you to move…properly.  We have no interest in making you a super athlete (but we do have the capacity to do that if you wish), however we aim to raise your ability to take on the real world.  We all face physical challenges on a daily basis that have to be accomplished. It is our goal as your gym to arm you with the tools (strength, mobility, balance, etc.) needed to do any physical task that you may face in your daily activities.

As your coaches, we make it our priority to share with you the knowledge we’ve accumulated so that you can reap the benefits in your daily lives. YOU NEED US! Perhaps that may sound like a bold statement, but it is one that is founded upon experience in working with a few thousand clients. Life becomes debilitating if you don’t maintain your fitness. Our owners and coaches were fortunate to have worked with Masters in the fitness field and want nothing more than to pass along the wisdom to you so that you can reap the benefits of living a long fulfilling life of great movement and vitality. We like to think of what we do as “Therapeutic Fitness”, which is essentially to wisely use multiple modalities to elicit the greatest effect for the long-term health and fitness of our clients.

What has occurred in the past 10 years in the fitness community has largely been geared more towards competition and less about a life-long healthful approach.  The hurry-up and get fit mentality, no matter what the costs are, is currently the choice of many thousands of our population.  I do agree that a small amount of competition is a positive motivator in getting results, but we must be cautious about the level of competition we are embracing.  If said competitive environment is inducing injuries (both minor and major), would you not agree that this approach is counter-productive to what the goal ultimately should be; to reduce healthcare costs, minimize time off of work, increase work production, and experience less pain. Rather it should be to increase your lifespan, vitality, and overall functionality for the long-haul. If you end up being sore and/or injured all the time from extreme workouts, then wouldn’t that be defeating the purpose?

Our motto at Balance Point Fitness and Athletics is to provide sustainable quality of life through functional fitness and a fun supportive community. Since the beginning of time, humans have evolved through the ages in small groups of people collectively working together towards a common goal. Along with this model comes a sense of hierarchy. There is generally someone who will lead the tribe towards that goal and if you have a good leader, then everyone wins. We believe that we ALL want to live a long, strong, healthy life filled with happiness and vitality. The fortunate thing in our society is that you have the freedom to chose the community (or tribe) that you spend your time with. At Balance Point Fitness and Athletics, we are dedicated to creating that safe haven of like-minded folks that choose to be wise about the process in which me move towards that common goal.  We ask that you take a look at your life and your own health and fitness; and reflect on where you want to go, what you want to do, and how you want to get there.

Let us wisely lead you there.  We won’t let you down.
